About Mr. Maldonado
Mr. Maldonado, an American, Colombian, Peruvian and Venezuelan: He was born in Venezuela but he carries all these nationalities and cultures.
Flexible and organized educator with many years of professional and teaching experience with an ability to explain complicated concepts in an easily understandable manner. Talent for using unique teaching strategies to effectively engage students and foster a fun and fascinating learning environment. Fluent also in written and verbal Spanish for students in the community that might need extra help. My passion for teaching is a result of many years of multifaceted experience with my computer engineering studies, customer service, auditing, project management, data analysis, quality programs, information technology (programmer and analyst), process optimization, automation and engineering skills to key areas within organizations in different markets, including education, insurance, banks, manufacturing, services, tourism and distribution.
Mr. Maldonado also possesses artistic abilities and throughout his career, he has experimented different art techniques. His past years have been devoted to the oil painting as his favorite. He started with small formats, and later he found that he enjoys big formats better, finding himself presenting his “Nature style”, as he defines it, most often represented through flowers and animal patterns. Besides oil painting, he loves working with wood and crafts, such as lazy Susans, placemats, wine bottle supports, trays, coasters, etc. applying the colorful acrylics with noticeable designs. He had been attracted to drawing and painting since very early in his childhood, although didn’t dedicate to art as he would have liked but, as he says, “It is never late to begin doing what you love”. He started in art after first completing his careers in Systems Engineering and a Master in Business Administration. He also loves teaching Computer Science, Mathematics and Management courses in several universities and high schools and has participated in mainly many local art exhibitions in the South Florida area. He has also been the recipient of several awards from the Doral Academy of Arts, among others.
